Northbound Blue Line riders can expect delays Thursday morning, Metro Transit said.
Trains were experiencing delays near the VA Medical Center Station, the agency reported about 7 a.m.
A semitrailer truck struck a traffic light and gate arm near the station. That left debris in the right of way causing the delays, said spokesman Drew Kerr.
At 7:20 a.m.,the agency said northbound Blue Line trains were moving again but that riders can expect delays up to 25 minutes.
