Talk about taking a stand against bullying.
Today, Blue Earth's Jolly Green Giant - all 55 feet of him - donned an orange toga in support of Unity Day, an effort aimed at preventing bullying.
Not to be out done, the city of Blue Earth became "Orange Earth" for a day in recognition of the event, which is sponsored by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center.
The Center launched the campaign in 2006 and asks supporters to wear orange. You might remember when Ellen DeGeneres wore orange in recognition of the event a few years ago.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month and PACER's website has good rundown of upcoming events and ideas about how to show support for the cause.
