Seth Feider of Bloomington, the only Minnesotan in the Toyota Angler of the Year bass fishing tournament on Lake Mille Lacs, was tied for second place Thursday after the first day of competition.
Feider caught five fish weighing 25 pounds, 8 ounces as did Jason Williamson of Wagener, S.C. The leader was Takahiro Omori of Emory, Texas, with a catch of 26-7.
Brent Ehrler of Redlands, Calif., was fourth (25-5) and Matt Herren of Ashville, Ala., was fifth (23-14).
Competition will resume Friday with takeoff beginning at 6:40 a.m. at Eddy's Resort in Onamia. Weigh-in will take place at Grand Casino Mille Lacs at 3:45 p.m.
