Bloomington police are looking for a 7-year-old girl who is believed to be traveling with her father.

The child's name is Alyssa Mariel-Lorraine Lafountain. She is white, 4-foot-5 and 42 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and a red polka-dot dress. The police alert said she is with her father, David Charles Lafountain, 40, traveling in a 2007 teal Chrysler Town and Country minivan with Minnesota plates 789LKP or Vermont plates FFL711. He is described as white, 5-foot-9, and 180 pounds.

Family members and authorities are concerned about the father's ability to properly care for his daughter. She is fed through a feeding tube and requires a specific diet. Police said she has food allergies, so if her diet is not followed, she may have an allergic reaction.

At this time, police say there is no reason to arrest the father. If either is located, the public is asked to call 952-563-4900.
