A teenager from Blaine has died after she tried to cross County Road 10 on her way to school in the dark Wednesday morning and was hit by a vehicle.
Sara Hendrickson, 15, was a sophomore at Spring Lake Park High School.
According to Blaine police, the girl tried to cross the county road outside of crosswalks near the intersection of Washington Street at around 6:20 a.m. The driver who struck her pulled over and called 911.
Hendrickson was taken to Mercy Hospital, where she later died.
