A 38-year-old man apparently shot and killed by his father in Blaine was identified late Saturday.
Joshua James Effertz died of multiple gunshot wounds, the Hennepin County medical examiner's office said.
Effertz's 61-year-old father called police about 7 a.m. Friday to report the shooting at a house in the 3200 block of 89th Curve NE., authorities had said.
Effertz was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died at 8:08 a.m. His address was the same as where the shooting occurred.
The homicide case is being investigated by Blaine police and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
