Owners of Don Julio's Authentic Mexican Restaurante opened their third location last week, this one in White Bear Lake, after spending seven months remodeling a building that once was home to a Five Guys From Italy restaurant and an Edina Realty office.

"Everything is brand new," said Erica Morales, one of the three owners. They installed new bathrooms, doors, tile, tables and booths.

The restaurant at 4460 N. Hwy. 61 has a full bar with seating for 20 to 25 people, 10 TVs and a dining room where a full line of Mexican dishes and drinks will be served. It will employ about 15 people, Morales said.

The White Bear eatery is the third family-run Don Julio's operated by Erica and Jorge Morales, and Ignacio Herrera. The others are in Forest Lake and North Branch. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily, but may be extended, owners said.
