The Fashion Bug store in the Cottage Grove Plaza will close at the end of the month, said a spokeswoman for the store's parent company, Charming Shoppes Inc.
A going-out-of-business sale is underway at the store at 8711 E. Point Douglas Road S. The company is closing under-performing stores and will also shut down an outlet in Vadnais Heights, said Ilana Bagell, manager of communications and corporate affairs.
Fashion Bug sells value-priced women's apparel in plus, misses and junior sizes, along with accessories and footwear.
Customers will be directed to stores in Apple Valley, Coon Rapids, Brooklyn Park and Hudson, Wis.
Charming Shoppes also operates several Lane Bryant stores in the metro area, including one in Woodbury's Tamarack Village.
