HealthEast is expanding to Stillwater.

Work on its newest clinic began Friday with a groundbreaking at the northwest corner of Hwy. 36 and County Road 5.

When it opens in August, the HealthEast Stillwater Clinic will offer a full array of family medical care, including midwifery. It also will have an on-site lab and digital X-ray technology, said Jodi Ritacca, senior public relations specialist.

The clinic will occupy about half of the 15,000-square-foot facility being built by Airlake Development of Lakeville. It could expand into the remaining space, or the space might be used by another provider, Ritacca said.

With the addition in Stillwater, HealthEast will have 14 clinics in St. Paul and east-metro suburbs.
