A chain store that specializes in merchandise for infants and toddlers will make its Minnesota debut this fall when it opens a store in the Woodbury Lakes shopping center, mall officials announced last week.

buybuy Baby will sell furniture, car seats, strollers, bedding, clothing and toys in a 28,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Linens 'n Things at 9020 Hudson Road. The store also will stock feeding supplies, bathing, health and baby care, safety, learning and development, as well as seasonal and holiday items. It also will have a baby registry.

"This store is a fantastic addition to our shopping center, with its fun and exciting shopping experience and broad assortment of merchandise," said Woodbury Lakes' General Manager Lisa Crain. "Busy families in the area will love this new store."

Founded in 1996, buybuy Baby was acquired by Bed Bath & Beyond in 2007. The chain currently operates more than 50 stores in 22 states, including Wisconsin.
