BINGO PLAYERS
10 p.m. • Epic • 18-plus • $25 advance
Plucking and pasting pieces of electro into their progressive house jumpers, Paul Bäumer and Maarten Hoogstraten bang out fusion dance tracks fit for festivals or big rooms as Bingo Players. After rocking the EDM arena at Summer Set, the Dutch duo brings its manic mishmash to the intimate-by-comparison Epic. This fall pop-rapper Flo Rida had a hit with his Bingo Players-sampling "I Cry," though BP originally boosted the chorus from Brenda Russell's "Piano in the Dark." Bäumer and Hoogstraten landed on Beatport's top 10 in November with their latest pelvis-pushing single "Out of My Mind," released on their Hysteria imprint. Lucky Date opens. MICHAEL RIETMULDER
DWARVES
10 p.m. • Triple Rock • 18-plus • $13-$15
Whether or not "The Dwarves Are Still the Best Band Ever" (or ever were), as the opening track off their latest album asserts, is open to interpretation. Most narcissistic? Most prurient? You bet. After more than 25 years of spewing punk-rock party-rilers and bodily fluids, playfully ego-tripping frontman Blag Dahlia hasn't shaken his debaucherous bent. Though over the years its on-stage antics have purportedly dialed down and the lineup has rotated, the San Francisco-based quintet still brings a deadly and devious live show. The Slow Death and local scathers Much Worse open. M.R.
