Blame Ghostbusters 2.

I'm guessing "Stripes 2: Back in Action" is off the table, too. Screenrant says:

You can find the full interview here. You're not surprised to find he wasn't too hot on Ghostbusters 2, since it was something of an overfed mess, and had little of the loose-limbed charm of the first one. But really, would it kill him to make it? What if it's good? I'm trying to think how much money I'd have to possess to be uninterested in a four-month shoot that would make me ten million dollars and make lots of people very happy. No sum really comes to mind. You can always use another ten million.
