August 4, 2010 at 7:25PM

The hot, humid air mass that covers the Northeast at this time will soon bereplaced by a much more comfortable air mass. The cool front will cross the region Thursday accompanied by gustythunderstorms. In a few locations, there probably will be some wind damage, butlarge-scale severe weather outbreaks tend not to occur this time of year.

Following the front, the region from northern Pennsylvania to Maine can expectnoticeably cooler and less humid weather Friday and Saturday. A lowering of thetemperature and the humidity will also be experienced in the mid-Atlanticregion.
