The 9-year-old bicyclist who was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Coon Rapids this week remained in critical condition Friday.

No arrests had been made in the incident, which occurred Wednesday evening at the intersection of Kumquat Street and 111th Avenue NW. as Amir Taylor was biking near his grandmother's house.
Ravesha Harris, Amir's mother, said she has not left his side at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. "He is being responsive today," she said. "His arms were moving and I saw his leg move today."
Harris said family and friends will go to the Moor Park area on Saturday, near the accident site, to pass out fliers with the vehicle and driver descriptions.
Authorities said the suspected vehicle is a black or dark-colored pickup, possibly a 1993 to 1998 Chevrolet Z71 with extended cab and short box. The driver was described as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s with short blond hair and a "scraggly," unshaven face.
A fund has been set up to help cover Amir's medical costs. Donors can visit a Wells Fargo location and mention the Amir Taylor Donation Fund.
