The entire nation will not experience adverse weather on Christmas Day. Whileblizzard conditions, ice and thunderstorms threaten to ruin the holiday acrossthe Plains and East, high pressure will grace the West.The main problem for the West will be the chilly air accompanying the high.

Temperatures will be held below freezing throughout the Intermountain West. Forplaces west of the Sierra and Cascades, Christmas Day will start on a coldnote. The afternoon, however, will turn nice.
