INDIANAPOLIS — Bennedict Mathurin scored 24 points off the bench, Jalen Smith sank a go-ahead 3-pointer late, and the Indiana Pacers won their third consecutive home game 116-110 over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.
The game was tied at 107 when Smith drilled his third 3-pointer with 3:10 remaining.
''That was a monster shot for us,'' Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said.
Smith finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Pacers didn't trail again.
''They made some big-time shots,'' Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said. ''It was just a little too tough to come back from. Give them credit, they made some good plays at the end.''
Mathurin, who scored 19 points in the first half, made 9 of 14 shots including three 3-pointers. He also grabbed seven rebounds.
''He (Mathurin) took the pressure off us,'' Pacers point guard Andrew Nembhard said. ''He was super aggressive going downhill.''
Recently acquired All-Star forward Pascal Siakam added 19 for Indiana. Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith each had 16.
