AUSTIN, Minn. — Bellisio Foods Inc. of Minneapolis is buying Austin Packaging Company for $6.1 million.
Bellisio had the winning bid Wednesday and also will assume $280,000 of APC's remaining liabilities.
The sale is pending court approval Thursday and closing next week.
The Austin Daily Herald (http://bit.ly/192rJqQ) reports Bellisio says it plans to keep APC in Austin and expand its operations.
Bellisio manufactures Michelina's frozen dinners along with products for Boston Market and private-label companies.
