Driving complaint. The driver of a white delivery truck was reported to be tailgating and driving aggressively on Manning Avenue north of 10th Street. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

DENMARK TOWNSHIP

FEB. 16

Suspicious activity. Police received a call from a driver in the 14000 block of 110th Street who reported being followed by a red pickup truck. When the driver arrived home, the truck pulled into the next door driveway. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

GRANT

FEB. 15

Road hazard. Police responded to a report of a low-hanging cable wire above Ideal Avenue south of Hwy. 96. Police contacted Comcast, which verified it was one of their cables and dispatched a crew to resolve the situation.

LAKE ELMO

FEB. 17

Animal complaint/theft. Someone in the 20 block of Cimarron reported a raccoon was stealing birdseed from her bird feeder. The complainant thought the animal was hiding beneath her deck and described it as gray-and-black with a mask.

LAKELAND

FEB. 16

Stalled vehicle. Police came across a stalled vehicle on westbound Interstate 94 on the St. Croix Bridge. The unoccupied vehicle had its hazard lights on and was causing no major traffic disturbance. The State Patrol was notified.

MAHTOMEDI

FEB. 11

Suspicious vehicle. A resident of the 4000 block of Hardwood Lane reported a red car had been parked at the end of the resident's driveway. The driver of the vehicle had lain down on the seat. By the time police responded the vehicle had left, and police were unable to locate it.

Barking dog. Police responded to a report of a barking dog in the 1000 block of Dunbar Way. Police advised the dog's owners of the complaint. The owners said they were in the process of trying to find the dog a new home.

Possible intruder. Someone in the 200 block of 72nd Street reported seeing a truck in her driveway and hearing someone downstairs in her residence. It turned out the complainant's daughter had borrowed her boyfriend's truck and was in the house.

MAY TOWNSHIP

FEB. 17

Loose cows. Two Holsteins were reported loose on Oldfield Road a quarter-mile east of Norell Avenue. Police located the cattle and notified the owner.

NEWPORT

FEB. 17

Property damage. A police squad car that was backing out of a driveway in the 800 block of Ford Road struck and damaged a mailbox.

PINE SPRINGS

FEB. 17

Dogs at large. Two Labradors, one yellow and one black, were reported loose in the area of 62nd Street and Hilton Trail. The complainant said this has been an ongoing problem. Police were unable to locate the animals.

SCANDIA

FEB. 15

Illegal dumping. While on patrol a police officer noticed a pickup topper full of miscellaneous garbage on the side of the road in the area of 209th Street and Penrose Avenue. The Scandia Public Works Department was notified.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

FEB. 16

Vehicle/deer accident. A deer was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Norell Avenue north of Myron Avenue. The adult doe was one of two deer that had run across the road in very foggy conditions.
