Lynn Monson, from Monson Interior Design, was at the West Metro Home Remodeling fair last weekend with lots of idea for redoing bathroom spaces- without a complete teardown.

Yesterday's post showed a sampling of metro-area baths. Many commenters said they had really small bathrooms, so I wanted to follow up with one of Monson's more challenging spaces.

This 45-square-foot bath had a pretty awful layout - the toilet was only inches from the tub.

A tough one, right? This called for a reconfiguration. He said the clients wanted more towel storage space and storage for personal grooming items. He took the space from a hall closet, closing off that door and incorporating the extra square footage in the room. The vanity was relocated to the former closet corner.

Here are the after photos:

The tub was moved to the end of the room and the sink was moved to the left.

A wall-mounted faucet saves counter depth.

I hope this give you some good ideas.
