Barometric baby boom?

This week brought record low pressure and an unusual number of births.

I remember nurses in the maternity ward talking about how the full moon causes an increase in patients. But I hadn't heard of this one before.

May did some investigating into an old wive's tale that low barometric pressure can send women into labor. She checked with area hospitals after Tuesday's record low barometric pressure and here are the results.

Check out this chart.

There certainly seems to be a correlation.
