Bar & restaurant deals 6/7: Return to seven corners

If you haven't staggered through Seven Corners since the Zombie Pub Crawl or your U of M days, you've been missing out. The pocket of West Bank pubs is one of Minneapolis' coziest crannies, full of deals to satisfy even the stingiest sots.

Town Hall Brewery

There's no better way to wind down an evening than with a fine craft brew, like Town Hall's hops-travagant Masala Mama IPA. Sophisticated drinkers can save a little coin at the beloved brewpub from 9 p.m.-midnight Monday through Saturday (8 p.m.-close Sun.), when house pints and rails are only $3.75 ($10.50 for a pitcher) and cask pints are $4.

Corner Bar

It's a proven fact that alliteration makes for the best bar deals, and this seasoned college/sports bar is bringing back a classic with Taco Tuesdays. Three bucks gets you a taco basket (three per order), and you can wash 'em down with a bucket of Corona, Corona Light or Pacifico for another $10. Even if you're a big-time college grad, don't act like you're above pounding hard shells and cheap beer.

Republic

When Republic took over the old Sgt. Preston's space, Seven Corners became a beer fanatic's sanctuary. From 4-6 p.m. daily, enjoying sapid suds is a little lighter on the wallet with select American taps, rails and house wine at only $3, and happy hour food items ranging from $3 to $6. With Republic's 56 different taps, the only hard part is picking your preferred elixir.
