Judge Joan Ericksen handed down the punishment to Gary John Percival for his role in the holdup of the Farmer and Merchants State Bank on Sept. 10, 2007.
According to the court, Percival, 22, and Jeremiah Billings entered the bank wearing ski masks, hooded sweatshirts and gloves, and announced the robbery. One man held a handgun while another leaped over the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash.
They were later arrested as were two others connected to the heist.
Billings, 19, of Kilkenny, Minn., was previously sentenced to 36 months in prison. Robert Eskelson, 23, of Northfield, Minn. was sentenced to 42 months in prison and Voravong Koubandonh, 32, of Jackson, Minn., was sentenced to 120 months in prison. In addition to jail, all four men received five years of supervised release.
The returns were filed on behalf of themselves and others, according to federal prosecutors.
