Bags of FREE FOOD! given away Tuesday (not junk food either)

Usually when people talk about free food it's Super Bowl Sunday weekend and a restaurant is offering a free breakfast. This week's offer is even better (for you). Healthpartners is offering a free bag of veggies to the first 300 people who show up at one of five clinics from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Aug. 23.

The bag includes four ears of corn, one green pepper, one sweet gypsy pepper, one cucumber, one zucchini, one eggplant, three tomatoes, one bunch of kale and one bunch of green beans, all provided by Costa Farm & Greenhouse in Mahtomedi, Minn.

I would estimate that such an assortment would cost about $7 to $9 at a farmer's market, making it an even better deal than most restaurant freebies.
