Back to school 2015: Fringe, plaid, black and white and graphic T-shirts at top of class

August 12, 2015 at 9:39PM

When it comes to getting dressed for the first day of school (and beyond), we needed to get schooled. So we turned to Mall of America's in-house trend specialist, Sara Rogers, to style the outfits for our Back to School fashion shoot. Because who better to help with school shopping than someone with the entire MOA at her disposal? The trend maven walked us through several of the key fall trends for teens and preteens, including '70s retro (again!), fringe, plaid, sportswear, luxe colors such as burgundy and olive green, black and white patterns, graphic T-shirts and, of course, lots and lots of denim.
