Rep. Michele Bachmann will hold her own rally on Saturday on the Washington Monument grounds immediately following Glenn Beck's rally at the Lincoln Memorial.

Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally has been trumpeted as a "non-political" event that's unconnected to the Tea Party, and conservative officeholders are mostly staying at arms' length.

But Bachmann is attending the Beck rally, said campaign spokesman Sergio Gor, though she will not have a speaking role. She appears to be the only confirmed officeholder who will attend, not counting former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has a featured role.

Gor said that following Beck's rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Bachmann will walk to the Washington Monument, a few blocks away, for her own event.

Beck's rally has been controversial because it's being held on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, also at the Lincoln Memorial. Beck has said he was initially unaware that his rally was scheduled for the anniversary, before calling it "divine providence" that the two dates aligned.

The Rev. Al Sharpton is also holding an event nearby on Saturday commemorating King's speech.

Beck's rally is expected to draw tens of thousands of people to the National Mall on Saturday.
