Rep. Michele Bachamnn is heading to New York later this month for a rally to endorse the childhood friend of Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Bachmann is backing John Gomez, who is challenging Democratic Rep. Steve Israel for his Long Island congressional seat.
Gomez has received endorsements from former Speaker Newt Gingrich and, not surprisingly, Hannity.
Bachmann will speak on Gomez's behalf at a July 17 rally in Long Island. The flyer advertising the events says, "Bring your friends, family and FLAGS!!!"
Bachmann, one of the GOP's top fundraisers in the House, is a frequent guest on Hannity's Fox News show. She appeared with former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin for an extended interview at a tea party rally in Minneapolis earlier this year.
