Kalpulli KetzalCoatlicue members performed Sunday to kick off the annual celebration El Dia de Los Muertos.

The community-based group in Minneapolis has volunteer instructors that teach Aztec dance. Mercado Central and El Colegio High School join forces with the Midtown Global Market on Lake Street to offer free activities through the week.

Children are invited to decorate a skull mask and trick-or-treat in the market Wednesday. Family night is Friday, and closing ceremonies are Saturday.
