'Avatar': You loved the movie; get ready for the theme park

Disney and James Cameron are teaming up.

Taking a page out of incorporating "Star Wars" into its theme parks, Disney has struck a deal with 20th Century Fox and James Cameron to add an "Avatar"-themed park. The location is the most curious part: It will be at Disney's Animal Kingdom park in Orlando. Not entirely sure when animals weren't enough of an attraction, but it does seem like a curious mixing and matching. The New York Times Media Decoder blog notes that the park and "Avatar" share the "theme of mankind's responsibility to nature." But I don't suppose we'll be seeing World War II history museums featuring "Harry Potter" attractions because of their similar themes? The Times does note that other Disney parks, especially those abroad, likely will have "Avatar"-themed areas, so it won't be exclusive to "Animal Kingdom."
