April 6, 2013 at 4:23AM

After searching for hours Friday, White Bear Lake police reported a vulnerable teenager was found in Minneapolis.

Kyle Christopher Konkler, 18, was last seen about noon Thursday when he left work at the White Bear Lake Police Department. Konkler, who is high-functioning on the autism spectrum, was on foot.

Police were worried that he didn't have any money or his cellphone and wasn't dressed appropriately for the weather.

But late Friday, police reported he had been found safe in Minneapolis and returned to his family.
