Wisconsin authorities will continue their search Monday for a man who is missing and presumed dead after falling off a bridge and into the Chippewa River on Friday.

The man may be a University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student from Minnesota.

Campus police responded to an emergency call about 10:45 p.m. Friday, reporting that a man had fallen from the university pedestrian bridge and into the river, according to a news release issued by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Police Department.

Police discovered that a student was missing from his dorm; he was identified as David Patrick Rodgers, 20, from Northfield, Minn. Witness descriptions of the man who fell match the missing student.

Rodgers is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 10, 168 pounds with brown eyes and who was last seen wearing khaki pants and a white T-shirt with "No Obama" on the front.

Anyone with information regarding Rodgers' whereabouts or the identity of the person who fell in the river should call UW-Eau Claire police at 715-836-2222.
