A 25-year-old Northfield man died after a detached garage at his parents' home caught fire last week.

Northfield police were called to a garage engulfed in flames at 518 2nd St. W. around 10:40 a.m. Friday, according to Deputy Chief Mark Dukatz.

Dukatz said Calvin Jeffrey Henry was the only person home at the time. The house belonged to Henry's parents. Henry later died from injuries related to the fire. The state fire marshal is still investigating the cause of the blaze.
