Authorities have identified the motorist they say ran over a man on a busy north Minneapolis street.

Aissata Dore, 20, of St. Paul, remains jailed Tuesday in Hennepin County District Court on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with the collision that occurred Friday night on West Broadway near Sheridan Avenue, according to police. Charges could be filed as soon as Tuesday.

The man was identified as Kevin R. Dodge-Fjelbroten, 23, of Minneapolis. He was hit by a car about 10:20 p.m. and died at North Memorial Health Hospital, the Medical Examiner's Office said.

Dore was arrested Sunday and booked into jail late that afternoon after she and at least one other person in the car ran from the scene.

Dodge-Fjelbroten's sister, Tanya Gough, said in an online fundraising effort to help with funeral expenses that he loved fishing and sports, "especially the Twins, Vikings, and Golden Gophers."
