Authorities ID man fatally shot in head, left in north Minneapolis alley

No arrests have been made in the Friday night killing.

Authorities on Sunday identified the man who was fatally shot in the head and left in a north Minneapolis alley.

Divittin C. Hoskins, 32, of Minneapolis, was shot Friday night in the 1600 block of Plymouth Avenue N., according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office. No arrests have been announced.

Hoskins was taken by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center, and he died there less than an hour later.

Police canvassed the area Friday night and again Saturday in hopes of finding information leading them to whoever was responsible for the killing.
