Authorities on Monday identified the couple killed in a snowmobile crash on a trail south of Belle Plaine.
Jeremy M. Pumper, 42, and Crystal Jo Olson, 33, both of Le Sueur, Minn., died after their snowmobile struck a utility pole late Sunday afternoon in Blakeley Township, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office said.
Pumper, who was operating the snowmobile, and Olson both had on helmets, the Sheriff’s Office added.
The snowmobile was heading east on the marked trail along 280th Street W. at Lehnert Lane when the crash occurred, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Pumper died at the scene, while Olson died after being hospitalized in Le Sueur.
