Authorities have identified the two people who were found shot to death over the weekend near a two-vehicle crash at a south Minneapolis intersection.

Jaden M. Blackmon, 15, of St. Paul, and Ahmed M. Badal, 35, of Minneapolis, each were shot in the chest early Sunday near S. 14th Avenue and E. 29th Street, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office said Wednesday.

Police spokesman John Elder said Thursday that no arrests have been made.

When gunfire occurred about 2 a.m. the ShotSpotter technology noted its location, police said, and officers with Metro Transit arrived at the intersection to find two vehicles involved in a crash.

One person was found dead in a car. The other was found in the middle of the road about a block away. Officers began lifesaving measures but he was pronounced dead by paramedics.

Police have yet to say who was found where, and Elder declined to reveal more about the killings.
