After more than a week of searching, authorities have found a man suspected in a recent northern Minnesota homicide.

Michigan state police and members of the U.S. Marshals Service took Daniel Gregory Lynn into custody "without incident" Friday after locating him in Cass County, Mich., the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office announced.

Investigators had been searching for Lynn, of South Bend, Ind., in connection with a woman's June disappearance and slaying. Authorities in Indiana contacted the St. Louis County sheriff in late June requesting help with a missing-person case involving 28-year-old Christina Marie Woods, of South Bend, Ind. Woods had been reported missing in early June.

On July 2, investigators found her remains in a shallow grave in Beatty Township near the Kabetogama State Forest and determined she died sometime around June 11. Authorities said the property where Woods' body was found belongs to a relative of Lynn.

A preliminary autopsy by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office indicated that she died by homicide, according to investigators. A warrant was issued for Lynn's arrest July 3 in St. Louis County.

Lynn, 40, is in custody in Michigan pending extradition back to Minnesota to face charges in Woods' death, according to the Sheriff's Office.
