Augustus will again play despite knee pain

Difficult stretch of games ends tonight against Indiana

June 23, 2014 at 12:37AM

Greetings from Target Center, where the Lynx will host Indiana in about 40 minutes.
The situation for Seimone Augustus is pretty much the same as it was Friday. Her left knee bursitis is bothering her. But she will try to play through it, knowing she will have some time off between games.

But there is a difference, too. Indiana is a much more physical team, and that could make it more difficult for Augustus to play significant minutes. So stay tuned; the game is on Fox Sports North.

--The Lynx will honor Indiana coach Lin Dunn just before the start of tonight's game. Dunn, who announced before is started that the 2014 season would be her last, is making her final regular-season appearance at Target Center.

Dunn was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame June 14, and is the winningest coach in Indiana history; she is 135-90 as Fever coach heading into tonight's game.

--After tonight's game – the sixth in 10 nights for the Lynx – the players will get some rest. Monday will be a day off before the team starts prepping for Friday's game at Seattle.

That's about all for now. Have a good night.
