Lynx guard Seimone Augustus will be one of the eight or nine players named to the U.S. Olympic women's basketball team today, according to knowledgeable sources.
USA Basketball has scheduled a news conference this afternoon in Washington, D.C., to announce the names. The 2008 Summer Olympics will be in August in Beijing. The selections also will be disclosed during the Los Angeles-Washington game at 4:30 p.m. on ABC-TV.
Augustus, a two-time WNBA all-star, is averaging 19.3 points and 6.7 rebounds -- both team highs -- for the 3-0 Lynx.
