PRIOR LAKE

Better together?

The works of two very different composers will share the program at the South Metro Chorale's "Schubert Meets Copland" concerts this weekend in Prior Lake and Richfield.

A 40-member chorus, a 21-piece professional orchestra and three soloists will take on the works of Franz Schubert, born in Vienna in 1797, and Aaron Copland, born in Brooklyn in 1900.

The show is at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake and at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Richfield. Tickets are $10 ($8 for students and seniors) and can be purchased by calling 612-386-4636. See www.southme trochorale.org for more information.

Shepherd of the Lake is at 3611 North Berens Road NW. in Prior Lake, and St. Richard's is at 7540 Penn Av. S. in Richfield.
