DAKOTA COUNTY

New Year's Eve party

Dakota County will have a family-oriented New Year's Eve party at Lebanon Hills Regional Park that will celebrate with a big ball drop just before 8 p.m.

Featured activities include a magic show, storytelling and bonfires. Candles will light hiking and snowshoeing trails and there will be a sledding hill and ice skating on Schulze Lake.

The park offers snowshoe rental, but families should bring their own sleds and ice skates. Partygoers can join a free make-your-own-s'more buffet or purchase a variety of other hot concessions from The Tot Boss and RA MacSammy's food trucks.

The event will from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the park's visitor center at 860 Cliff Road, Eagan. Cost is $8 per person if registered by Dec. 30 and $10 per person at the door. Children age 5 and younger are free.

For information or to register, visit www.dakotacounty.us/parks and search calendar of events or call 651-554-6530.
