Tickets are now on sale for "Forbidden Broadway," a cabaret revue sharply spoofing show tunes, characters and plots of contemporary and current Broadway musicals presented by the Masquers Theatre Company on Jan. 29-31 and Feb. 5-8 at Vannelli's by the Lake, 55 Lake St. S., Forest Lake.
"Forbidden Broadway" has mocked popular shows like "The Phantom of the Opera," "Les Misérables," "The Lion King" and "Rent." It also targets famous Broadway actors, writers, composers, directors, choreographers and producers.

Winter Ice Cream Social returning
The Winter Ice Cream Social, a popular annual event put on by the Washington County Historical Society, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 17 at Mulberry Point in downtown Stillwater.
Among the free items available: Leo's Malt Shop and Grill ice cream, root beer from Lift Bridge Brewing Co., hot chocolate provided by Pub 112 and coffee from the Daily Grind.
Chili will be available for a nominal fee.
Marine on St. Croix
Snowshoe program offered at park
"Let's Snowshoe!" a program teaching the basics of snowshoeing, will be offered from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Jan. 10 and 17 at William O'Brien State Park, 16821 O'Brien Trail N. Marine on St. Croix.
Participants will meet at the Visitor Center and go through a short introduction to snowshoes and the fundamentals. Participants can then check out the snowshoes, explore the park and look for tracks and wildlife.
