The Tartan Theatre will present "A Christmas Story" beginning Friday and continuing through Dec. 2 at the Tartan Auditorium.
"A Christmas Story" is the dramatic adaptation of the popular holiday film recalling the ups and downs of being a kid. The stage version, like the movie, is based on the short stories of Jean Shepherd.
Shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Nov. 29-Dec. 1. Matinees are set for 2 p.m. on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2.
Tickets are on sale at the Tartan Theatre box office at tickets.tartantheatre.org. They are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and $6 for students.
The Tartan High School Auditorium is at 828 Greenway Av. N. in Oakdale.

Christmas at Fillebrown House A Christmas decorating party will be held at the historic Fillebrown House from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.
The public is invited to pitch in for a morning of decorating for upcoming holiday events. Refreshments and music will help set the mood.
