The Burnsville Civic Light Opera will present "A Christmas Carol" at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center in five performances next weekend.
With the dramatic sets, costumes and special effects created for the 2008 Kodak Theatre production in Los Angeles, the show will use narration recorded for the production in London in 1992 by Sir John Gielgud.
Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday; 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1 and 6 p.m. Sunday.

'Now and Then Singers' at library The Now and Then Singers, made up of juniors and seniors from Lakeville North High School, will present a holiday program at 1:15 p.m. next Sunday at the Heritage Library in Lakeville.
The group, which has performed for 30 years, is known for its vocal jazz harmonies.
The event is free and open to the public. Heritage Library is located at 20085 Heritage Drive in Lakeville.
