Fogstand is a gallery in Taiwan that now, thanks to a grant from Midway Contemporary Art, has a new branch in St. Paul. This weekend Singaporean artist Joo Choon Lin mounts a solo performance and theatrical play, based loosely on the play "The Hind" by Leslie Scalapino, a Beat movement-associated experimental poet and playwright. Joo's work interrogates the nature of reality, particularly as technology continues advancing. Performances will take place Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. (Opening reception 7-10 p.m. Sat. Ends Aug. 5. Regular hours 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sat.-Sun., 1456 Edmund Av., St. Paul. Free. fogstand.com)
