"Flash Forward" protest sweeps globe

Up to dozen involved.

I enjoyed "Flash Forward" quite a bit when it began, and then the characters started to annoy me - smirky-yet-compassionate-doc, sullen cop, Dominic Monaghan as the angry-supersmart Dangerous Hobbit, and so on. Then it took a fourteen-year hiatus, or something like that, and everyone had forgotten about it. Once the show started to seem like it would be cancelled, half the audience convinced themselves not to care, because it would be cancelled and then we'd never find the answer to all the Big Questions.

Well, not everyone. Yesterday, in an attempt to get the network to reverse their decision to cancel the show, they had world-wide protests. Says Deadline.com: " Mini-blackouts were staged in New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles, where protestors fainted in front of ABC's offices in Burbank."

Here's one . . .

And here's a report from England.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
