Damaging Thunderstorm Threat

The storm system sidling over the Plains today will bring travel-slowing snowto the central Plains and drenching rain to many in the lower MississippiValley. The potential for strong thunderstorms will rise this afternoon andevening as well.A swath from northeastern Texas into northern Louisiana and southern Arkansaswill be at the greatest risk for violent thunderstorms during this time. Theisolated, but feisty storms will be capable of producing torrential downpours,damaging winds and hail.
