Matt Hellickson and Andrew Oglevie scored power-play goals in the first 10 minutes of the opening period to lead No. 2 Notre Dame over host Michigan 2-1 Friday night.

Cale Morris made 34 saves for the Irish (17-3-1, 11-0 Big Ten), the runaway conference leaders who have a 14-game winning streak.

Tony Calderone scored the Wolverines' goal late in the first; Hayden Lavigne had 25 stops.

Notre Dame was 2-for-2 on power plays, Michigan was 0-for-1 on Red Berenson Rink Dedication Night, which drew an announced crowd of 5,800 to Yost Ice Arena.

No. 14 Penn State 5, No. 15 Wisconsin 1: Nate Sucese scored a goal in every period to lead the Nittany Lions over the visiting Badgers. His second goal was shorthanded and put Penn State ahead 4-0 less than four minutes into the second period. His third goal was an empty-netter. Peyton Jones made 25 saves for the Nittany Lions; two Wisconsin goalies combined for 27 stops.

No. 8 Ohio State 4, Michigan State 1: The Buckeyes struck quickly for goals three times. Sasha Larocque scored 33 seconds into the game to put visiting OSU ahead 1-0. And, in the first 32 seconds of the second, Ronnie Hein and Tanner Laczynski both scored, making it 4-0. Two Buckeyes goals came on power plays. Kevin Miller scored the first at 5:58 of the opening period and Hein the other at 15 seconds of the second.

No. 18 Omaha 4, No. 6 North Dakota 1: Luke Nogard and David Pope each scored a power-play goal in the second period as the visiting Mavericks upset the Fighting Hawks. Shane Gersich scored for UND on a penalty shot late in the opening period. Evan Weninger had 34 saves for Omaha, Cam Johnson 17 for North Dakota.

Bemidji State 3, Lake Superior State 0: Michael Bitzer made 21 saves for the shutout and Dylan McCrory gave him a 1-0 at 1:04 of the opening period with his first goal of the season as the visiting Beavers beat the Lakers. Charlie Combs had a power-play goal in the middle of the first period for Bemidji State and Gerry Fitzgerald added an empty-net goal with under two minutes left in the third period.

No. 7 MSU Mankato 5, Alaska Anchorage 2: C.J. Suess scored twice as the Mavericks beat the host Seawolves, scoring four goals in the third period.
