MINNEAPOLIS PRINT

AND DRAWING FAIR

Previews Wednesday: Original etchings, lithographs and other fine prints can seem expensive and esoteric until you've flipped through a dealer's bin of them. You may discover some for as little as $200. The 16th annual fair brings 10 top dealers from New York, Chicago, Seattle and elsewhere. They'll offer an extravaganza of images by Old Masters (Rembrandt, Piranesi) and 19th-century French (Carriere, Gautier) and contemporary American (Sultan, Mazur) and Japanese artists. George Bellows' lithograph "In the Subway" is pictured, courtesy of Thomas French Fine Art. (Preview party, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wed. $50. 612-870-6323 or www. artsmia.org. Show 1-7 p.m. Thu., 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Fri.-Sat. $5. Minneapolis Institute of Arts, 2400 3rd Av. S. 612-870-3131 or www.artsmia.org.)
