Weekend plans will definitely be disrupted on the central Plains. Acrippling blizzard will make travel nearly impossible. Any scheduled activitiesare sure to get cancelled.The blizzard will unleash the worst of its fury from far northeasternColorado to the border of Nebraska and South Dakota. This includes the citiesof Sterling, Colo.; Sidney, Neb.; and Yankton, S.D. Up to a foot of snow willblanket these areas tonight into Saturday night. Strong winds severely whippingthe snow around will make getting accurate totals difficult.
Six inches or more of snow are anticipated in Denver and Cheyenne. Similartotals are expected in northern Iowa and southern Wisconsin by the end of theweekend as the snowstorm heads eastward.
