Now, isn't that special

"Dana Carvey: Straight White Male 60," filmed over two nights in Boston, gives the former "Saturday Night Live" star a chance to prove there is life beyond impersonating George H.W. Bush, a president that an entire generation now knows little about. With that in mind, the comedian has added Donald Trump to his cast of characters, which doesn't necessarily mean the Church Lady won't make some sort of appearance.

You gotta have Hart

Anyone tracking the box office shouldn't be surprised that Tyler Perry's latest topped Tom Hanks' "Inferno" in its debut week or that Kevin Hart may be the most reliable movie star in the business today. "Ride Along 2" is just the latest example of how African-American stars can draw massive audiences even if the plots are razor-thin.

Trump card

I don't expect "Saturday Night Live" to retire Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump if he happens to lose the election, but the last live episode before the votes are counted should still be something special. The unapologetic liberal has stood out in his portrayal of the presidential contender, which is saying something, since everyone seems to have an impersonation — including Carvey. Benedict Cumberbatch hosts.
